We know there are great things already occurring in our community.
Our community already does so much to contribute to climate action
- Almost half have solar panels on their roof
- Almost half have consciously reduced their consumption of goods
- Over 84% recycle and/or reuse goods
- Over 70% make an effort to compost or use their green organics bin
Actions that the community wants to continue
We know our community wants to keep climate action happening, and to do more. Actions such as:
- Increasing tree canopy coverage
- Increasing recycling and composting
- Encourage and notice more electric vehicles, solar and batteries
- Increase community gardening and grow our own food
- Improve education and information on climate change action
- Take small day to day action to reduce emissions and the cost of living
- Develop a community emissions reduction target and action plan
We understand our community and this action plan sets out to make the Mission Possible. Working together, inspiring action and sharing experience will work towards achieving our Net Zero target, by doing the things we know are possible.
